The newest patient in Vietnam is a 29-year-old Vietnamese female salesperson working at an outlet of Dien May Xanh (green electronics) supermarket chain in Hai Chau District, Da Nang.
At around 6-7 pm on March 4, she had direct contact with two British tourists at Dien May Xanh supermarket, who were later identified as patient 22 and 23.
The Da Nang woman was kept in quarantine for treatment at Da Nang General Hospital on Tuesday after her samples sent to the Pasteur Institute in Nha Trang tested positive for the novel coronavirus.
13 passengers on the flight have been confirmed as infected, the first being Hanoian Nguyen Hong Nhung, who became Vietnam's 17th COVID-19 patient and its first after 22 clean days last Friday.

The Hoi An tourist is the second case confirmed on Tuesday in Vietnam. The other is a 24-year-old Vietnamese woman who'd met Nhung at a party in London last month, before falling sick and being put on a private plane to Ho Chi Minh city on Monday.
