Ambassador of Korea Hopes Hai Duong Will Continue Supporting Korean Businesses
The meeting was attended by Le Van Hieu, Deputy Secretary of the Hai Duong Provincial Party Committee and head of Hai Duong delegation to the National Assembly, Ambassador of Korea to Vietnam Park Noh Wan, President of the Hai Duong Provincial People’s Committee Trieu The Hung, other authorities from the People’s Committee and provincial departments and representatives of the Korea Land & Housing Corporation.

At the meeting, leaders of Hai Duong province shared with the Embassy an overview of Hai Duong’s master plan for the key industrial zones in Binh Giang and Thanh Mien districts.
Secretary of the Party Committee of Hai Duong Province Pham Xuan Thang affirmed that Hai Duong and the industrial zones in the province had unique advantages in the Red River Delta region to continue attracting investment. Hai Duong’s key industrial zones had favorable locations, large land areas, rich human resources and a well-developed infrastructure system suitable for investment in high-tech and supporting industries, especially from Korean businesses.
Secretary Xuan Thang expressed his hope that Ambassador Wan would promote Hai Duong’s strengths, potentials and the growing industrial zones to the Korean business community to boost investment in the province. The secretary affirmed that Hai Duong was an attractive destination and would create favorable conditions for Korean businesses and people coming to work and live.
Speaking at the event, Ambassador Wan requested that Hai Duong would enhance investment promotion events so businesses from Korea could access information and explore investment opportunities. the ambassador noted that the Embassy of Korea in Vietnam was ready to become a bridge that connects Hai Duong and Korean businesses, attracting more capable businesses whose investment activities were in line with Hai Duong’s development strategies.

Ambassador Wan requested that Hai Duong province continued to create favorable conditions for the Korea Land & Housing Corporation to invest in the Dai Hung Industrial Zone, Urban Area and Entertainment Complex with a total area of 304 hectares and a total investment capital of approximately US$ 500 million in Dai Son commune of Tu Ky district, and other projects that the Korean and Vietnamese governments are collaborating to develop in Hai Duong.
Affirming that the development of the Dai Hung complex aligned with the province’s “green growth and digital transformation” strategy, Secretary Xuan Thang pledged to work with other leaders of Hai Duong province to support businesses to accelerate research and investment rate to soon realize the project. In September, Hai Duong planned to sign memorandums of understanding with businesses to tighten cooperation during the implementation of the project.
Secretary of the Party Committee of Hai Duong Province Pham Xuan Thang hoped that the Embassy of Korea in Vietnam would support Hai Duong to send proposals to the Prime Minister and working with the relevant departments at the central level to boost the processing of the relevant documents and procedures so the Dai Hung project could be carried out on time. Secretary Thang also hoped to continue connecting businesses interested in investing in Hai Duong to tighten the friendship between Korea and Vietnam, contributing to the development of Hai Duong.
