Deputy Minister Pham Quang Hieu highly appreciated the patriotic spirit of overseas experts and intellectuals in Switzerland, adding that AVIES is the core of the community.

The practical contributions of the Association and the Vietnamese community in Switzerland (donating CHF 44,740, equivalent to more than VND 1 billion during the Covid-19 pandemic, and CHF 9,500, equivalent to VND 230 million to build a sovereignty boat for Truong Sa) or VietSearch and V-space projects have contributed socio-economic development of the country.

Deputy Minister Pham Quang Hieu affirmed that the young generation of overseas Vietnamese intellectuals, no matter where they were born and raised, is an integral part and a resource of the Vietnamese ethnic community.

Hence, the Party, and the government always pay attention to, value, and create conditions for overseas experts and intellectuals to invest in business, science and technology activities, and start-ups.

In response, the Association has expressed deep feelings of attachment to the homeland and the country, saying that it is accelerating the implementation of two important projects VietSearch and V-space to strengthen ties of the Vietnamese communities around the world.

The representatives of AVIES also expressed their wish to continue contributing to the country's socio-economic development through policy advice, economic cooperation connection, and reaffirming their willingness to support and help Vietnamese students in accessing the information on new technologies and developing startups.

AVIES is grateful for the strategy of State Committee on Overseas Vietnamese that continues to act as a bridge connecting the Association's activities in Switzerland with agencies, universities and the young business community in Vietnam.
