The body sterilization chamber using ion salt water has been designed and manufactured successfully by the Institute of Occupational Health and Environment in collaboration with Hanoi University of Science and Technology and is being piloted in medical examination areas.
According to information from the Institute of Occupational Health and Environment (Ministry of Health), to prevent and combat COVID-19, the Institute collaborated with Hanoi University of Technology to design and manufacture a successful reduction chamber. Systemic bacteria use ionic salt water.

Currently, the Institute has installed and deployed a mobile disinfection chamber system in medical examination and crowded areas to ensure safety and limit the spread of dangerous pathogens, especially in the situation of COVID-19 epidemic. complicated.
It is known that it only takes 15 - 20 seconds to 'clean' a person's body before entering the clinic area. In addition, the system is designed as a module so it can be easily removable and transported. A complete installation system can meet the capacity of disinfection up to 1,000 people / day.
The National Institute of Occupational and Environmental Health and the Hanoi University of Science and Technology have fabricated them for disinfecting people who directly treat or work with patients with Covid-19, the pneumonia caused by the new coronavirus.
The system consists of two chambers. One sprays electrolyzed water in the form of droplets and the other directs heat and ozone onto the body of the person. Produced by electrolyzing ordinary tap water containing dissolved sodium chloride, it can even clean the respiratory system.
According to Assoc. Prof. Dr. Doan Ngoc Hai - Director of VAST, the system is designed based on the principle of using an ionized saline solution (Anolyte) in the form of mist spraying the whole body to quickly disinfect the body surface. All disinfectant solutions are prepared by the VAST and ensure safety for sensitive skin areas.
In terms of initial results, the Department of Laboratory and Analysis (Institute of Occupational Health and Environment) conducted a microbiological test on humans. The results showed that over 90% of bacteria, viruses on the body surface, clothes . were completely removed after going through the body disinfection chamber.
Doan Hong Hai, head of the institute, said the institute decided to make it since people who directly work in areas where infections are detected or treated do not have any means to disinfect themselves fully.
The system, according to Hai and the researching team, can disinfect up to 99.99 percent of the virus, which has the size of one-900th of the width of a human hair, that might have still last on surfaces, either the clothes, shoes, or bags. The main component of wet chamber is a 360-degree fog mist sprayer, combined with an infrared sensor installed inside the chamber that automatically activates the disinfection spraying process once a person steps in.
The dry chamber uses heat and ozone at permitted level to ensure safety for the disinfected person. It takes one 30 seconds to complete a round of disinfection in each chamber, which measures one meter wide and two meters tall and is movable.
The entire system is designed and manufactured using Vietnamese techniques and products. The institute and the university have yet to come up with a production cost for the system, but it is estimated that the system can disinfect up to 1,000 people per day.
Vietnam has recorded 49 Covid-19 cases so far, and 16 of them had been discharged weeks ago. The Covid-19 outbreak has thus far spread to 145 countries and territories around the world, with the death toll climbing to over 5,400.
Vietnam has recorded 57 Covid-19 cases so far, and 16 of them had been discharged weeks ago. The Covid-19 outbreak has thus far spread to 157 countries and territories around the world, with the death toll climbing to over 6,500.
|The whole-body disinfection chamber will partly address the need for screening and prevention of infection in crowded areas, especially at medical examination and treatment establishments, enterprises, schools and commercial centers. ., contributing to the prevention of disease spread.|
