Cu Lao Xanh, also known as Van Phi island, is a small island near Xuan Dai Bay (Phu Yen province) but its administrative boundary belongs to Nhon Chau island commune, Quy Nhon city, Binh Dinh province.
Due to such special location, there are numerous directions to Cu Lao Xanh, by hiring a boat of fishermen in Vinh Hoa village (Song Cau town, Phu Yen province), or from Bai Xep (Ghenh Rang ward, Quy Nhon). These two both need additional wooden boats of indigenous fishermen, as tourism has not been developed.

The most popular way is to start at Ham Tu port, about 1km from Quy Nhon city center. There are two optional vehicles for tourists: high-speed canoe with the price of 150-200 thousand VND / way, which must be reserved beforehand. If cheaper, there are wooden boats of 30 thousand VND per person, only two turns per day. It takes 30- 40 minutes for canoeing and 2 hours for wooden boats arriving.

The island is about 365ha with a population of about 2,300 people distributed over three villages. The position is almost completely separated into the sea, about 20km from Quy Nhon city, 6km from Song Cau town (Phu Yen). As far as it is, Cu Lao Xanh is definitely strange on the tourist map of our country, a very unspoiled destination that has not suffered much from the impact of tourism.

Cu Lao Xanh can make impression at the first sight, a small, absolutely "blue" island as its name, from the sky, sea to vegetation on the island. Even standing at the jetty, where concentrates boats, fishing villages, motor oil ... , it is rarely seen rubbish, a problem that many islands in Vietnam are facing.
