Thanh Thuy, a tourist from Bac Ninh, shared her experience of a month of "seclusion" in Mang Den. Thuy arrived in Mang Den on a warm sunny day in early December, but as soon as she arrived, it suddenly rained. Since then, there have been very few sunny days.

"Fog and dark clouds spread all over the way, the cold in Mang Den is not the same as the cold I have experienced in the North. Mang Den is cold and often has heavy rain and wind," said the female tourist. Weather conditions are severe, some days the wind blows so strong that the roofs of houses are blown off, walls are cracked, and signs are scattered. Thanh Thuy shared that she endured the cold without a sweater. Before coming here, Thuy did not anticipate the weather situation.

"Despite the harsh weather of Mang Den, it is still beautiful in my eyes, from the branches of the trees, the grass, and the blue sky," the female tourist expressed. Thanh Thuy described Mang Den hills as follows: "Although they are not as majestic as the mountains in the Northwest, the Northeast and the streams and waterfalls are not as beautiful as Ban Me, and the scenery is not as poetic as Da Lat".

"Mang Den is beautiful in a wild and rustic way, as honest and liberal as the freedom-loving souls of the people who come to this land," Thuy said.

From Buon Ma Thuot, visitors can take a bus to Kon Tum city, then take a bus or shuttle bus to Mang Den town. The bus ticket price is about VND 250,000 ( USD 10.537) per person. From other provinces and cities, visitors should travel by plane to Pleiku airport and then rent a motorbike to go to Mang Den about 100 km.

For a month in the "second Da Lat" of the Central Highlands, Thuy chose to stay at a place with a rental price of VND 3.6 million (USD 151.739) per month. This place is a homestay combined with a vegetarian restaurant. "I've been eating here for a whole month because the food cooked by the host family is delicious, healthy, and suits my taste," Thuy expressed.

She said that the weather in Mang Den is warmer now. However, visitors who plan to come here should prepare warm clothes, towels, and hats. "The wind in Mang Den is so strong that people can get sick easily," Thuy said.

The weather here is most beautiful in the morning with many places to hunt clouds. Guests can visit Green Yen Coffee Shop, Glamprose, and In Another World.

Thuy shared that she is interested in slow travel. This gives her a lot of time to engage with the lives of local people. That is also the main reason she spent a month in Mang Den.
