Kazan market fire: Vietnamese Embassy in Russia supports Vietnamese expats
On behalf of the Vietnamese Embassy in Russia, Minister Counselor Nguyen Hung on May 10th presented USD5,118 to Mr. Duong Tuan Tu, representatives of the overseas Vietnamese community in Kazan to support them to overcome the difficulties caused by the market fire in March.

The fire in Kazan city destroyed the marketplace and destroyed the livelihoods of over 90 Vietnamese traders who were left penniless. The Vietnamese Embassy in Russia has raised funds among the overseas Vietnamese community to support the victims.

Apart from the cash donations, many other practical donations have been made to the victims including basic food essentials such as rice.

Mr. Duong Tuan Tu expressed his sincere gratitude to the Vietnamese Embassy, the Overseas Vietnamese Association in Russia, Vietnamese Business Association; overseas Vietnamese in Upha and the Women’s Associations at the Moscow Trade Center.

The Minister also reported on the reconstruction of the Admiral Trade Centre and was pleased to announce that the first three months use of the facilities would be free of charge./.
