Brazilian President Jair Bolsonaro's communications secretary, Fabio Wajngarten, is awaiting the results of a second confirmation test, according to the Estado de S Paulo newspaper's report.

Brazil's presidency did not respond to a request for comment.

Fabio, accompanied the Brazilian President to Mar-a-Lago for a visit that included dinner with Trump, Vice President Mike Pence and his daughter, Ivanka.

Asked by Reuters before Estado reported the positive test, Brazil's Health minister, Luiz Henrique Mandetta, said Bolsonaro would be monitored if Wajngarten tested positively.

In the photo posted on his Instagram account, Wajngarten is standing next to Trump wearing a Make Brazil great again cap.

Vice President Mike Pence was next to Trump.

The Folha de S.Paulo newspaper said on Wednesday that he was being tested for the flu-like virus. It prompted Wajngarten to respond on Twitter that he was healthy—although he didn’t deny he’d been tested after returning to Brazil.

On Thursday, Brazilian media reported that he had in fact contracted the virus. Bolsonaro was also being tested although his result was not yet known, another local newspaper reported.

The White House said on Monday that Trump has not been tested for the novel coronavirus despite being in contact with multiple lawmakers in self-quarantine.

The following day, the president said he saw no reason to test himself.

“I don’t think it’s a big deal. I would do it, I don’t feel any reason. I feel extremely good, I feel very good,” Trump said on Tuesday. “But I guess it’s not a big deal to get tested and it’s something I would do. But again, spoke to the White House doctor — terrific guy, talented guy — he said he sees no reason to do it. There’s no symptoms, no anything.”

It is unclear what precautions Trump will take following Wajnarten’s diagnosis./.
