Many opinions focused on analyzing the inadequacies in the work of associations, as well as measures to overcome difficulties to unite and spread activities, attracting more people.
People also thanked the contributions, and companionship of the Ambassador and the Embassy for enthusiastically supporting, and giving valuable and practical help to the Vietnamese community in the Netherlands.
Speaking at the meeting, Ambassador Pham Viet Anh appreciated the exciting activities of the people, especially the important change in quality for associations. That is the change in people's awareness of community activities.
In the past, there were only a few groups and associations, most of which were not registered with the local government, so all activities depended on a few individuals. Moreover, the activities are also spontaneous, without a leader.
The Ambassador commented that, up to now, many associations have been officially established through the congress, with a consolidated leadership board, and recognized by the Dutch government. That created a solid and long-term legal foundation for associations.
Many people realized the need to have their own organizations as the basis for sustainable activities, to build a strong, and united Vietnamese community, preserving Vietnamese cultural identity and language for future generations.
On this occasion, Ambassador Pham Viet Anh thanked the cooperation and support of people in major activities of the Embassy, such as the National Day celebration, the Lunar New Year, and the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Vietnam and the Netherlands.
In particular, the Ambassador expressed his gratitude to those who have silently helped in various forms to the people in the country during difficult times, contributed good ideas and solutions for the Netherlands and the world, to assist in policy making of our Party and State.
