"In recent times, many types of "intangible" forms in the work of honoring Uncle Ho have been increasingly effective, increasingly creating affection and admiration of many people around the world with President Ho Chi Minh, thereby linking Vietnam's relations with other countries. Therefore, in the coming time, it is necessary to further promote this work through many diverse and rich forms, directly or integrated into foreign affairs activities. "Intangible" activities need to be promoted through Party diplomacy, state diplomacy, and people-to-people diplomacy so that the image of President Ho Chi Minh is increasingly affirmed in the minds of the world's people," Hoang proposed.
Le Thi Phuong, director of the Presidential Palace Relics Area pointed out that most heads of state and international delegations when coming to Vietnam visit his residence and work at the Presidential Palace. Therefore, this is the closest and most effective place to converge and spread his legacy to friends in five continents.
Phuong suggested coordinating to welcome delegations of heads of state, high-level delegations, international organizations, and people from other countries to visit the Ho Chi Minh Relics at the Presidential Palace.
At the same time, organize and coordinate events to promote the life, career, ideology, ethics, and style of President Ho Chi Minh at the relic site as well as in many countries such as collecting documents and artifacts about his activities in France, organizing an exhibition about his life and career in Belgium, an international conference held online in Russia, introducing books about President Ho Chi Minh in foreign countries such as France, Belgium, Turkey, Russia. Every year, the relic site is the destination of the "Hometown Spring" program to welcome overseas Vietnamese returning to their homeland.
Citing experiences in the area, Vietnamese Ambassador to Algeria Tran Quoc Khanh shared that Algeria is a country with traditional friendly relations with Vietnam, and the Government and people of Algeria greatly admire President Ho Chi Minh. This is where there are two streets named after Uncle Ho: Ho Chi Minh Avenue in the capital Algiers and Ho Chi Minh Street in Oran - the second largest city in Algeria.
With the above strengths and the support of domestic units, in the past three years, the Embassy has promoted the implementation of introduction, and honor of President Ho Chi Minh to the Algerian and Vietnamese people. A number of outstanding results have been achieved, thereby further strengthening the relationship between the two peoples.
At the same time, delegates also proposed a number of methods to strongly innovate the content, methods, and forms of promotion of Ho Chi Minh's ideology, ethics, and style, especially for the younger generation and the Vietnamese community abroad, making his thoughts, ethics, and style truly become a solid spiritual foundation of social life, fostering the will to be self-reliant, national self-strength, and the aspiration to build a prosperous and happy country.
Deputy Minister Ngoc held that as changes in the international and regional situations will generate both opportunities and challenges for Vietnam in the coming time, ministries, sectors, and localities should keep actively introducing and honoring President Ho’s wisdom, virtues, and ideals abroad, thereby helping intensify Vietnam’s multifaceted relations with other nations, promote the country’s stature and prestige, and strengthen the patriotism and solidarity among overseas Vietnamese people.
On this occasion, the MoFA and relevant agencies organized an exhibition about the background, life, and career of President Ho Chi Minh; displaying many publications introducing his great stature, thoughts, and great contributions to Vietnam and the world.
