Foreign YouTubers contribute to promoting Vietnamese tourism

The owner of the YouTube channel Cheri Hyeri is Kim Hyeri (27 years old), graduating from the Vietnamese language Department at the South Korean Foreign Language University. Her Youtube channel has so far raked in 1.1 million subscribers. With the affection for Vietnam, Kim Hyeri set up this Youtube channel aiming to introduce Vietnamese culture and tourism, Lao Dong newspaper reported.
Kim Hyeri said that she always missed and wished to return to Vietnam as it is a beautiful and welcoming country. Hyeri’s videos about Vietnamese tourism, culture, country and people have garnered huge attention from not only South Korean but also people in many countries in the world.

Vietnam Meets Dustin is one of the YouTube channels which have been familiar among avid travelers in recent years. This YouTube channel has more than 600,000 likes and features the rustic life of Vietnamese people. Its owner is Dustin Cheverier (33 years old), hailing from California, the United State.
Falling in love with the countryside in Vietnam, Dustin Cheverier has attached with the country for more than 4 years. Through his videos, he shared that when stepping on Vietnam for the first time, he was blown away by its stunning and serene beauty. The suburbs or remote countryside in Vietnam leave him a strong impression and become an endless inspiration for his videos.
Cee Jay is one of the foreign YouTubers living in Vietnam. His videos about food and travel in Vietnam have grabbed huge attention from the netizens. Cee Jay said that Vietnam captures the hearts of many visitors in general and himself in particular. He always considers Vietnam his second home.
Promoting Vietnamese tourism through YouTube
According to Statista, a channel specializing in providing information on social networks, YouTube is the world’s second-largest social media platform with about 2 billion users per month, becoming an important source of information for nearly 60% of visitors globally in seeking travel inspiration, choosing destinations and sharing experiences.
Notably, Vietnam currently ranks fourth in the world in terms of time on YouTube and is one of the five largest markets of this social media platform. This indicates that Vietnam is gradually becoming a new attractive destination in the world.

Many young YouTubers have chosen Vietnam to make videos introducing tourist attractions across the country. Apart from foreign Youtubers, young Vietnamese avid travelers also contribute to promoting Vietnam tourism through emotional videos.
Mr. Le Truong Huy (nicknamed Huy Hay Di) - a famous travel blogger said “Besides exploring, I would like to convey my positive energy for the young to share more about their travel experience.”
Each YouTube content creator acts as an "online tourist guide" exploring the culture, cuisine, and people of Vietnam. The YouTubers’ experiences help to promote Vietnamese tourism to international tourists.
