Vietnam Candidate Named among Hot Picks at Miss Grand International 2021

Spanish beauty website Hispano has selected Vietnamese entrant Nguyen Thuc Thuy Tien among its 10 hot picks for the upcoming Miss Grand International 2021.

According to VOV, the Vietnamese representative features in seventh place among the overall list, while the beauty from host nation Thailand leads the way in her second position.

The other contestants making up the Top 10 include the representatives from Brazil, Indonesia, Venezuela, Costa Rica, Ecuador, Guatemala, the Philippines, and Mexico.

Tien is notable for making the Top 5 of Miss Vietnam 2018. She later went on to represent the country at Miss International 2018, a global competition held in Tokyo, Japan.

Miss Grand International is one of the six major global beauty contests which is held annually, alongside Miss World, Miss Universe, Miss International, Miss Earth, and Miss Supranational.

This year competition will be held on October 25 in Thailand.

Tien won the title of Beauty of Mercy at the Miss Vietnam 2018 pageant and represented Vietnam at Miss International 2018 but did not win any title.

She has a sharp face, sexy body with measurements of 83-62-92 cm, which are very suitable with the criteria of the Miss Grand International, Vietnamnet reported.

Besides experience learned from the Miss International 2018 contest, Thuy Tien is fluent in English and has hosted big events such as the red carpet at the semi-finals and final of Miss Vietnam 2020. She can sing and dance, and has good catwalk skills.

Back at the Miss Grand International 2020 pageant, Vietnamese contestant Ngoc Thao clinched a Top 20 finish in the swimsuit competition at Miss Grand International 2021 pageant thanks to the audience's votes.

Ngoc Thao was among the 10 contestants selected by the audience on social networks. She got 73,000 interactions and 171,000 shares. Other representatives in the top 10 most voted contestants include women from Cambodia, Indonesia, the Philippines, Mexico, Ecuador, Guatemala, Myanmar, Paraguay, and Colombia.

The 10 contestants selected by the judge included representatives of the US, Kenya, Thailand, Brazil, Argentina, El Salvador, Puerto Rico, the Czech Republic, Peru, and the Dominican Republic. The organizers will announce the title Miss Swimsuit in the finale on March 27.

Ngoc Thao is the second runner-up of Miss Vietnam 2020 pageant. At this beauty contest she entered the Top 5 of Miss Sea and Top 5 of Miss Fashion competition. Thao, 21, 1.74m tall, 81-61-95 cm of body measurement, is a student at Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology, Vietnamnet reported.
