The contest, attracting the participation of 8 women's teams, consists of 2 parts namely flower arrangement and cooking.
The Vietnamese Association in Vientiane recently held a contest to celebrate International Women’s Day (March 8).
The event was attended by the Counselor of the Vietnamese Embassy in Laos Vu Tu Oanh, President of Vientiane Women's Union Lienkham Vilarphan, Representatives of Vietnamese enterprises cooperating and investing in Laos along with hundreds of overseas Vietnamese.
Teams participating in the contest were countryman clubs such as Thanh Hoa, Hanoi, Quang Nam - Da Nang along with Vietnamese companies investing and doing business in Laos such as Sacombank Laos, Unitel, etc.
Each team presents their dishes and ways of arranging flowers so that judges and attendees can have a better understanding of the origin and recipe of dishes.
Besides, the Association presented gifts to Vietnamese women in Vientiane for their contributions to the Association. In addition, art performances featuring songs that praise revolution, countries of Vietnam and Laos were held.

Counselor of the Vietnamese Embassy in Laos Vu Tu Oanh and President of Vientiane Women's Union Lienkham Vilarphan pledged to give great support for community activities of Vietnamese ex-pats, affirming that these activities contribute to promoting friendly solidarity between the women of Laos and Vietnam.
