At 00h00 on the 19th of May 2021, Vinh Yen city (Vinh Phuc province) changes to the state of implementing accordingly the Directive No. 06/CT-CTUBND dated May 1, 2021 of the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee and documents under the direction of the Provincial Party Committee, the Provincial People's Committee on the prevention and control of COVID-19 in the provincial area.

The People's Committee of Vinh Phuc province requested the Department of Health, the standing agency of the Provincial Steering Committee for COVID-19 Disease Prevention and Control, to preside over and coordinate with relevant units to guide and direct the People’s Committee of Vinh Yen City to carry out the prevention and control of the COVID-19 epidemic.

After the decision to end the social distancing period in Vinh Yen city took effect, the People's Committee and the Steering Committee for COVID-19 Prevention and Control of Vinh Yen city directed agencies and units in the city area continues to maintain and implement measures to prevent and control the COVID-19 epidemic.

Previously, Vinh Phuc Provincial People's Committee issued a decision to implement social isolation in Vinh Yen city from 0h00 on the 7th of May, 2021.

Meanwhile, also at 0h00 on the 19th of May, Bac Giang province decided to quarantine three more districts which are Lang Giang, Luc Nam and Yen Dung.

Chairman of Bac Giang Provincial People's Committee emphasized that this is to carry out the prevention and control of COVID-19.

Accordingly, quarantine should be implemented between families, districts, and villages. It is required that everyone stay at home, only going out in case of absolute necessity such as: buying food, medicine, emergency or working at factories, production facilities, and businesses premises providing essential services and food which are not shut down.

The people also have to strictly follow the rule of minimum distance of 2m when communicating. No more than 2 people are allowed to gather outside of offices, schools, hospitals and in public places (except for the case of deputies election for the 15th National Assembly and People's Councils of all levels for the 2021-2026 term).

Previously, Bac Giang province has decided to shut down 4 industrial parks until further notice and implement social distancing in Viet Yen district on the 18th of May 2021.
