Fellow-countrymen Associations of Hai Phong and Ninh Binh debut in Macau (China)

Speaking at the meeting, chairman of the Overseas Vietnamese Association in Macau Duong Trung Duc said that 2020 was a challenging year given the complicated development of Covid-19. Many Vietnamese people in Macau lost their jobs and couldn’t return to Vietnam due to the suspension of international commercial flights.

Since its establishment, the association has supported many Vietnamese in Macau facing difficulties. On the occasion of celebrating National Reunification Day and International Workers’ Day, the association held a cultural exchange program aiming to promote solidarity among Vietnamese expats as well as help them to ease their homesickness.

In addition, the event was organized to encourage the Vietnamese community in Macau to surmount the difficulties and enhance the images of the country and people of Vietnam in the eyes of international friends.
Attending the event, participants had the opportunity to see special art performances praising the country and people of Vietnam given by Vietnamese people who are living and working in Macau.

On this occasion, the fellow-countrymen Associations of Hai Phong and Ninh Binh in Macau officially made debut. In the time ahead, members of two associations will make efforts to make it united and stronger.
