Murals in Hanoi instilling uplifting messages about the Covid-19 pandemic have been garnering people’s attention.
In order to strengthen the anti-pandemic communication efforts, Ha Dong district authorities have surveyed and agreed to turn the walls along Vu Trong Khanh street into mural walls. Along with posters, most of the paintings display slogans encouraging residents to obey Covid-19 preventive rules, such as “Joining together to fight Covid-19 pandemic,” “For a Covid-free world”, “Prevent, detect, quarantine, localize, stamp out the Covid-19 pandemic.”

Meanwhile, an art teacher in Ha Tinh province has drawn lovely murals onto the walls during his stay at the quarantine center.
Le Duy Loi, an art teacher at Nguyen Tuan Thien secondary school has breathed a new life into the old, paint-peeling walls at Son Trung kindergarten where he was staying for the mandatory three-week quarantine.
“I wanted to create something joyful for the children’s classroom. I had asked my family to bring me drawing tools and paint,” Loi told Tien Phong. “Other people in the center also came to help me. They said drawing helps them alleviate the stress that they might be infected with the novel virus.”

Nguyen Truong Giang, head of the Education and Training Department of Huong Son district, Ha Tinh, highly appreciated Loi’s voluntary contribution.
“Nursey schools often hire artists to decorate the classrooms. It is great to draw such walls during the quarantine time, which helps relieve stress and also be useful for the school,” Giang said.
