Every year when people return home to welcome the Lunar New Year, Dong Nai holds meetings for overseas Vietnamese and their relatives. This year, unable to hold the event due to the pandemic, the province instead held an event named "2021 Dong Nai Friendship Spring Meeting".
The event aims to create conditions for overseas to directly exchange, propose, and express their opinions on local policies making, as well as to participate in business and investment in their hometown.
Dong Nai currently has 32,000 overseas Vietnamese living and working in countries and territories around the world and nearly 18,000 families who have members living abroad. On this occasion, the overseas locals of Dong Nai wished to continue to be given favorable conditions.
