According to VPF’s document, the postponement would last until further notice released. All football clubs were demanded to update the information and manage, check their players’ health and medical status as well as strictly follow the Government’s instructions on preventing and combating Covid-19, Thethao 247 reported.

The country's top V-league and the First Division were supposed to play new rounds starting July 29, AFP reported.

The change in plans is "to ensure the safety of the players", organizers said in a statement.

No details were provided on when the matches might resume.

Vietnam has won praise for its handling of the virus, registering just 420 infections and no deaths despite sharing along. The country’s authorities were quick to impose proper measures to shield the country after the virus emerged in neighboring China, with a rigorous state quarantine and the contact-tracing system put in place.

Danang recorded three cases of Covid-19 community transmission, stopped receiving tourists for 14 days starting Sunday, banned gatherings of 30 plus people, and urged residents to maintain social distancing, according to Vnexpress.

The central city has also closed "non-essential" services like amusement parks, beauty parlors, karaoke and massage parlors and bars.

No more new COVID-19 infection cases were reported in Vietnam on July 27 morning, according to the National Steering Committee for COVID-19 Prevention and Control.

The total number of infections still stood at 420, of whom 276 are imported and were quarantined upon arrival. Vietnam News Agency reported.

A report of the steering committee’s Treatment Sub-committee showed that 365 patients, or 86.9 percent, have recovered fully. Among the active patients, five tested negatives for the coronavirus SARS-CoV-2 once and three negative at least twice.

Two new cases of Covid-19 community transmission were confirmed in Da Nang and nearby Quang Ngai Province Sunday evening. The latest infections also raise the number of community transmissions in the past few days to four, the first of which broke Vietnam’s 99-day streak with no community transmission of the novel coronavirus. VNExpress reported.
